They have had a bunch of compressors swapped out and returned to them under parts warranty and WABCO has found little or nothing wrong with them. I have a great guy at WABCO in North Carolina, who has told me that Land Rover has had issues with the Compressor on most all of the MK3 series from 03 to 05. Hey guys this issue has been trashed to death. Oh, and one more thing, the warning in the information center went away.at least for now. The good news is I have not run out of dealers yet. Or I guess they may be laughing at me, saying I don't know what I'm talking about, and maybe I don't. The way I have it figured either they are right, and the new "turtle" is defective or they are not technicians, and instead are just parts changers. I paid them for their service and drove off with the same problem. I pointed out the compressor was new, and that it does level the car so it must work (I also told them this when I dropped off my Range Rover). Next morning they called, "You need a new compressor". I now know that is apparently a software upgrade, and not required because of corrupted software, which is what I was told. They told me I needed to have my computer flashed, that would be another $115. After they had my RR for a few hours I got a call. $115 to connect to their suspension computer for a definitive diagnosis. I purchased a new 'turtle' from an ex Range Rover owner. The conclusion I came to after studying this forum was the 'sticking valve' issue. My compressor works, but I cannot manually raise or lower the vehicle. This is an interesting issue, one that I am presently experiencing also.
